Managing the logistic plan for Cosentino Group, you can not only plan also coordinate and control the activities of the customer service team to maintain and enhance customer relationships and meet organizational and operational objectives.

What will you be doing?

 

Responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required, and in the most cost-effective way. Oversees the distribution and transportation of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer. How?

 

- Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers: monitor quality, quantity, delivery times and transport costs; negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistic providers, recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency; select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria.

 

- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.

 

- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.

 

- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.

 

- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.

 

- Review the impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, or carriers, and report results to others identifying and resolving any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement; identifying savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.

 

- Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency.

 

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.

 

- Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements.

 

- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.

 

- Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies/laws regulations and ISO requirements and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors.

What are we looking for?

 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

 

 

BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
10+ years experience in logistics management
7 + years' supervisory experience implementing "Transport Management Systems" in companies with different locations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Record of successful distribution and logistics management
Proficient in standard logistics software
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
