We are looking for a CAD MANAGER to join our Fabrication Center. You will join a company:

What will you be doing?

The CAD manager will be responsible for overseeing and providing technical support to a multisite team of CAD operators within the company about job scheduling, company product, and specification about the fabrication process. The CAD Manager will be also responsible for producing blue prints and drawing which include specialized notations and symbols about the fabrication procedures. In addition, the CAD Manger will be responsible for collecting and reviewing data for all the locations to ensure that jobs contain all the required information in accordance with company practice to meet production deadline.  

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible of ensuring all the SSI Shops are receiving the CAD files to run the production on time
  • Provide production CAD Support
  • Develop, implement, and enforce CAD Standards
  • Supply technical support for all CAD software
  • Manage and maintain libraries (including sink)
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Insure CAD vendor Management
  • Provide training and supervision of in-house CAD operators
  • Generate written technology evaluations for future software adoption
  • Provide a budget for all CAD technology ítems
  • Implementing Continuous Improvements Plan to elevate SSI CAD department (Train in-house, best practices, software)
  • Develop training budget and overall scope
  • Customize CAD Programs
  • Maintain CAD Software inventory
  • Scheduling drawing completion
  • Produce corporate CAD screen shots
  • Enforce SSI Measurer Standards
What are we looking for?

EXPERIENCE
Required

  • 5 + years of relevant experience working with CAD 
  • Experience working on designs for Marble, Granite and Quartz
  • Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields

EDUCATION
Required 

  • B.A/B.S degree in Mechanical Engendering, Industrial Engineering, Architect, or related field. 

     

KNOWLEDGES
Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
  • CAD design Knowledge (Alfacan, Pronest, Autocad CAD)
  • Must be able to properly use quality devices when needed
  • Must be able to spot imperfections on work; close visual inspection required
  • Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, measuring, etc.)
