Stone Systems Regional Sales Director, West Region

At Stone Systems (www.stone-systems.com) we are looking for a Regional Sales Director to lead our 5 Shops located in the West Region – Austin, Dallas, Houston, New Mexico & Minnesota. What you will do

 


As a Regional Director, you will be responsible for leading a regional team. We are looking for a proven leader with great energy, leadership, covering the entire cycle of the business in their Region, from sales to collections, passing through fabrication, customer service, measure&install, and billing. initiative to drive team performance in sales and operations (sales, fabrication, customer service, measure&install) . The Regional Director is responsible for managing multiple shops, coordinating, and monitoring the activities of the team, executing global and local market initiatives, and tracking targets in their area to achieve employee development and successful financial results in the Region. The candidate will be a high-impact individual capable of driving outstanding business results and first-class employee development. The Regional Director is responsible for the P&L of his Region.

To be successful in this role you should have excellent sales and communication skills, a wide knowledge of business functions, financial and budgeting skills and be a strong leader.

 

Business Development

  • Managing multiple shops, being responsible for all the business units teams and the results generated by those locations.
  • Responsible for analysis, positioning, and execution in all existing and new channels, such as builder, retailer, and commercial market segments.
  • Grow sales and service of all the product lines in the region assigned.
  • Develop regional relationships with major accounts.
  • Focus promotional efforts on point-of-purchase displays, vignettes, and samples.
  • Perform market prospection and opportunity identification.
  • Engage in regional relationships with industry partners.
  • Marketing and co-advertising based on the region for all brands with corporate coordination.
  • Maximize synergies between commercial and promotional opportunities.


KPI Management

  • Ability to understand, interpret and take decisions based on KPIs, balance sheets, income statements, prepare all reports required
  • Ability to develop a business plan.
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate the results of the Shops’ growth and degree of achievement of the planned goals (billing, overall efficiency, profitability by product, contained commercial segment, exposure outlets, etc.)
  • Participates in regional leadership team conference calls/meetings throughout the year
  • Enforce proper inventory procedures are being followed to ensure regional assets are accounted for
  • Help ensure Shops are implementing and following Cosentino safety regulations, as well as those required by various government organizations
  • Support the Shops in identifying and evaluating business opportunities


 

Team Management & Development

  • Work with Business Managers and Operations Managers of each location to develop and adhere to annual Shop Budgets.
  • Train, coach, and develop Managers of each shop to achieve consistent and sustainable growth
  • Liaison for direct reports between Corporate Office and Shops by ensuring they receive information and tools from Corporate and other resources that are necessary to implement strategy
  • Lead the regional leadership team through an annual goals process
  • Hold monthly meetings with each center to review progress and needs
  • Other duties assigned.

What you need to succeed

 

Professional Experience
Required:
•    5+ years or more in the stone industry
•    5+ years of experience managing a team
•    Proven experience with managing multifunctional teams in a manufacturing, or production environment.

 

Knowledge
Required:
•    Ability to read and understand financial statements – general accounting rules
Desired
•    Knowledge of distribution processes and how they relate to cost and process efficiencies

 

Skills
Required:
•    Communication: Oral & Written. Capacity to interact with multiple levels in the organization
•    Outstanding sales skills
•    Ability to read and understand financial statements
•    Clean driving record and a valid Driver’s license
•    Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

 

Education
Required:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
Preferred:
•    MBA is a plus
