The Architect & Design/Builder Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing Cosentino's commercial sales division with product awareness, acceptance, and sales to the designated accounts and contract design & commercial segments for both interior and exterior applications. This position will actively identify, pursue, and increase sales and brand loyalty by calling on architects, designers, fabricators, and builders.

 

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase and reach long and short-term sales plans for stone surfacing products within the territory
  • Develop, establish, and grow relationships with all builders, architects, designers, fabricators, general contractors, and property managers by scheduling appointments, meetings or other personal sales efforts
  • Update account progress and developments utilizing Salesforce CRM system
  • Act as liaison to all parties for up-to-date conditions on pricing and services, successful sales implementation, latest product releases and launches, mock-ups and proposals, as well as product data and information
  • Maintain a constant awareness of the markets and pursue profitable opportunities by executing and communicating marketing initiatives (i.e. pricing, promotions, product changes)
  • Actively represent and promote Cosentino to the community in the commercial construction industry by hosting and attending local chapter events for ASID, IIDA, AIA & HBA along with other targeted associations
  • Commitment to continually learning about Cosentino Surfacing products and proper application and installation processes and collaborating with local, regional, and national peers to assure the highest level of coordination, preparation, and customer service
  • Assist in the development of annual sales and marketing plans by providing recommendations to senior management with key sales information related to the market and region
  • Evaluate, negotiate, close, and execute contracts/agreements for materials, installation and services, as well as the sales positioning in model homes, design centers and showrooms
  • Manage account report, own sales budget, and maintain disciplined to stay within assigned sales and expense budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist with corporate account roll out programs on a regional basis as needed. This task may require travel outside of the assigned geography to call on owners, fabricators and installation contractors to facilitate and manage successful multi-location roll out programs. Advanced notice will be given to employee regarding travel.
  • Coordinate and promote Cosentino surfacing products with Universities and Associations and develop relationships with leaders and students in the design industry
  • Responsible for updating libraries and conducting lunch and learns and educational seminars at Architect and Designer firms

What knowledge do you need?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • At least 2 years of commercial and builder sales experience prefered
  • Must be comfortable in both the construction field and the architect/design field
  • Valid Driver's License with clean MVR. Ability to drive company vehicle 80% of the time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. (Sample Boxes)
  • Knowledge of flooring, facades and/or countertops a plus
  • Must have a proven track record of closing deals and growing sales and profits within a sales industry

What do you need to be successful in the role?

  • Microsoft Office - intermediate proficiency
  • Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), Salesforce preferred
  • Basic product knowledge, as well as ability to interact with multiple levels in the architectural, design and builder segments
  • Ability to teach product knowledge and do CEU's
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and build value-based relationships with customers
  • Demonstrates time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Great attention to detail, organizational and strong analytical skills
