What are we looking for

At Stone Systems ( we are looking for a Regional Operations Manager for our Shop located in Fairfield, NJ, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of. 

What you will do

As a Regional Operations Manager you will be leading, coaching, and developing the functional departments (Production Management, Measure and Installation, Customer Service) in the Fabrication Shops that have been assigned in your region, with the goal of ensuring that these departments’ individual goals are being achieved (This includes your “Home” Shop and any other assigned in your region). This role interacts and supervises local department managers and Operations Managers, assisting them in maintaining flawless communication and interactions between these areas. 

The Regional Operations Manager must be operationally efficient, customer service and metrics oriented to ensure targets are being met while being responsible for a healthy P&L. Going into further detail:  

  • Partner and Manage the Local Functional Managers (Operations, Production and Services) to successful implement necessary improvements to support business objectives.  
  • Lead, coach and motivate a team of 6-9 managers and 50-70 reporting employees.  
  • Effectively balance between big picture concerns with day-to-day activities.  
  • Troubleshoot and serve as the highest escalation level for problems/operating issues.  Formulate effective corrective and preventative operating solutions.  
  • Work in synchrony with the Local Business Manager to manage the profitability of the shops in the region, being co-responsible for its P&L and growth achievement. 
  • Develop operation plans that include cost, volume, and resources requirements.  
  • Develop corrective action plans to deliver improved business performance.  
  • Ensure that Safety Procedures with all Departments are implemented and followed. 
  • Ensure capacities in the Departments are evaluated, reviewed, and addressed. 
  • Ensure schedules (Maintenance, Measure, Production, and Installation) are completed and met in the locations assigned.  
  • Work closely with managers in functional areas to optimize total production and service.  
  • Ensure cooperation between functions and maintain global vision of the business needs among all the teams and cooperate to have a team building environment at the shop. 
  • Conduct daily operational dashboard reviews with 3 functional areas of the operation: install manager, production manager, and customer service manager. 
  • Lead daily “Hot Job” meeting to ensure the remakes have priority in the schedule and the team is following the 48-hour targets to complete the jobs from the initial install date.   Assign actions and resolutions to problem jobs daily  
  • Always ensure high customer service levels by handling complex customer issues, reviewing, and solving customer complaints. 
  • Ensure Production and Installation teams implement “Best Practices” and that we are following all safety practices.  
  • Be responsible for staff performance; this includes, but is not limited to, addressing any training or daily coaching needs, ensuring that we are following all SOP’s and implementing strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability.

What you need to succeed

The successful individual in this role will be a results-driven and detail-oriented business professional capable of working strategically and tactically within a customer-centered and production-driven environment.


  • 5+ years of operational and people management experience. 
  • Experience with managing multifunctional teams in a manufacturing, or production environment.


  • Stone / Surface experience


  • Bachelor’s degree required in management, industrial engineering or related field


  • Good understanding of business KPI’s 
  • Good understanding of P&L account and financial implications of operational decisions


  • SAP


  • Strong customer service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity work in fast-paced environment that may change frequently
  • Capacity to organize teams and apply 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
