What are we looking for

 

At Cosentino (www.cosentino.com) we are looking for an Event Manager to join our Marketing Department, that will be an exceptional addition to our Brand team leading Cosentino’s internal and external events that support brand growth. The Event Manager will be responsible of leading, planning and executing events produced and/or promoted by Cosentino making sure that all events are executed with the highest level of organization and quality in order to guarantee the best experience to all stakeholders. The Event Manger will also be accountable for cost management and monitoring profitability goals throughout every event.

What you will do

 

Job Expectations

  • Lead all Cosentino Americas B2B and B2C events, tradeshows and activations including planning and organization from brief to execution.
  • Ensure the development and smooth execution of event experiences – including location and venue selection, event design, vendor sourcing, selection, negotiation, event activities/logistics, action item tracking, pre-event, post-event, and on-site activities.
  • Develop & manage budgets, RFPs, and vendor quotes.
  • Event execution including but not limited to run of show, on-site logistics, F&B, A/V, signage coordination with brand team, and oversight of agency and on the ground vendors
  • Oversee the selection and training of qualified event staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide post-project summary reporting, including key takeaways, leanings, metrics, KPIs
  • Lead negotiations on cost, terms and conditions, and scope of work for event suppliers and venues.
  • Act as the direct point person for key stakeholders and vendors during the planning, on-site, and post-event phases and provide full-service logistical support throughout the event.
  • Identify appropriate agency partners per project and own communications and feedback.
  • Lead venue outreach and manage contracts/agreements, relationships, etc.
  • Manage supplier contracts and coordinate with finance and other stakeholders to manage timely payment of invoices
  • Facilitate contract routing (MSA, SOW, NDA, etc.) and manage payments (create requisitions/POs, process & track invoices, etc.) - Billing, invoicing and keep track of accounts payable/receivables as they relate to assigned events.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders by managing project timelines for creative assets, digital and PR integration and executive approvals 
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns/actions (Local buys, PR, brand, digitak etc).
  • Assist maintaining project timelines for external partners, agencies/vendors
  • Coordinates internal and client facing event communications including invitations, sponsorship ads/collateral, agendas, attendee travel information, executive briefing documents, attendee bios, and internal communications for events
  • Empower team synergy and positive team spirit to ensure team feels supported, and ensure all challenges or conflict is dealt with in a positive manner with minimum fuss.
  • Troubleshoot all activation elements during preparation and on sight.
  • Ensure the event is completed smoothly and set up to resolve any problems that may occur.
  • Proactively look for new/smarter ways to improve department processes and procedures + Research and recommend new event activations, ideas, and vendors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with organizations, agencies, talent, and vendors
  • Train internal team to launch smaller local events and oversee the execution
  • Travel to be on site at events as needed

What you need to succeed

 

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing full-spectrum events - brief to execution -in a fast-paced corporate environment. Experience planning and managing conventions or tradeshows is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated track record of building, managing and maintaining vendor relationships, including negotiating favorable contract rates and terms
  • Experience managing teams across projects in a changing, fast-paced work environment
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office.
  • Background in working with C-level executives to translate their goals and objectives into a successful and impactful attendee experience
  • Experience working independently develop and execute an event strategy that aligns with business objectives and brand positioning
  • Experience editing sponsorship, hotel, and supplier contracts, including identifying the need for and drafting new terms where applicable
  • Substantive experience minimizing financial risk during vendor sourcing and identifying and avoiding any new, potential risk throughout the project (i.e., room block attrition)
  • Familiarity with event technologies, and ability to assess new technologies and make strategic recommendations - Skilled in using event technology software – Web conferencing/broadcast platforms (GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams Live, etc.), Salesforce
  • Works gracefully under pressure and deadline driven—must be able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Experience building strong internal relationships and leveraging cross-department resources.

  • Must be flexible when necessary; able and willing to explore and test new ways of doing things; must not remain set in ways to the detriment of the Company’s competitiveness.
  • Pro-active, reliable, results orientated, a finisher, attention to detail, disciplined.
  • Passionate individual willing to immerse him/herself in their work.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and strong planning and organizational skills - time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities and timely follow ups.
  • Must show initiative and possess the ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Able to fulfil flexible working hours during busy periods, and travel as required, concentrated during busy event seasons
  • Ability to work flexible schedule with occasional evening/or weekends and travel.

Desired

  • Experience with SAP, MS PowerPoint/Google Slides 
  • Entertainment, agency, and/or brand experience
  • Architectural and Design Background Preferred

Academical Background

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent combination in marketing, communications, business administration and/or a related discipline.
  • Bi-Lingual, English, and Spanish speaking required.
