We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Fabrication Center. You will join a company:

What will you be doing?

As an Operations Manager you will lead, coach and develop the functional department in the shop to ensure customer satisfaction, high performance and continuous improvements in Customer Service, Production/Maintenance and Installation. You will pair up with every responsible party for their functional areas locally and ensure flawless coordination between areas.  You must be operationally efficient, satisfy the sale for our clients, and metrics oriented to ensure targets are being met while being responsible for a healthy P&L.  Going more granular, you will…


  • Partner with Business Leaders (Fabrication Director and Director of Services) to lead successful execution of necessary improvements to support business objectives.
  • Lead a team of 4 managers and 25-30 reporting employees.
  • Effectively balance between big picture concerns with day to day activities.
  • Troubleshoot and serve as the highest escalation level for problems/operating issues.  Formulate effective corrective and preventative operating solutions.
  • Partner with the Business Manager to manage the profitability of the Shop and achieve growth objectives defined.
  • Develop operation plans that include cost, volume, and resources requirements.
  • Develop corrective action plans to deliver improved business performance.
  • Work closely with managers in functional areas to optimize total production and service.
  • Ensure cooperation between functions and maintain global vision of the business needs among all the teams and cooperate to have a team building environment at the shop.
  • Conduct daily operational dashboard review with 4 functional areas of the operation: office manager, install manager, production manager, customer service manager.
  • Lead daily Hot Job meeting management to ensure the remakes have priority in the schedule and the team is following the 48 hour targets to complete the jobs from the initial install date.  Daily assigned actions.
  • Always ensure high customer service levels by handling complex customer issues, reviewing and solving customer complaints.
  • Ensure Production and Installation are practicing best efforts and in compliance with safety measures.
  • Be responsible for staff performance; this includes, but is not limited to, addressing any training or daily coaching needs, and implementing strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability.

  • 5 years operational and people management experience.
  • Experience with managing multifunctional teams in a manufacturing, or production environment.


  • Stone / Surface experience



  • Bachelor’s degree required in management, industrial engineering or related field




  • Good understanding of business KPI’s and P&L


  • SAP



  • Strong customer service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity work in fast paced environment that may change frequently
  • Capacity organize teams and apply
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
