What will you be doing?

As an Operation Manager you will be responsible for the administration of operational activities in the warehouse. Your daily tasks include control of shipping/receiving material, organization & inventory management, ensuring that all appropriate safety regulations are being implemented and to supervise all warehouse employees & drivers.

 

On this position there will be different fronts you are going to be working with: 

 

Logistics:

  • Prepare appropriate documentation for loading and unloading trucks and containers.
  • Organize and maintain delivery schedule daily with efficiency route planning
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Quality and Safety Control

  • Responsible for quality control by reviewing all incoming and outgoing product for damage.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis
  • Lead and maintain a safe working area ensuring that Health and Safety processes and procedures are met.

 

Administration

  • Assist with system order entry when needed, as well as customer delivery schedules.
  • Responsible for inventory management and control
  • Able to enter orders into SAP, interact with customers, load/unload products, and move product within the warehouse as needed.
What are we looking for?

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 3+ years of operational and people management experience in logistic.
  • 1+ inventory management experience.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.

 

Desired

  • SAP experience
  • Forklift experience

 

 

EDUCATION

Required

  • High School / GED

Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or related field.

 

KNOWLEDGE

  • Building materials market

 

SKILLS

Required

  • Communication: Oral & Written. Capacity to interact with multiple levels within all faces with commercial industry projects
  • Strong customer service
  • Ability to organize Schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
